The process starts with a detailed sketch transferred onto the metal sheet. Using specialized hammers and punches, the artist carefully works the metal from behind (repoussé) to create depth and dimension. Once the basic form emerges, chasing tools are employed on the front to sharpen lines, add textures, and perfect fine details like facial features or floral patterns.

Patience is key—each tap of the hammer must be deliberate to avoid tearing the metal. Intermediate annealing (heating and cooling) ensures the material remains workable.
